Anxiety is a word that gets used alot these days. The context often varied, from a word to describe a feeling through to a diagnosed mental illness. This is my take on social anxiety, as a person who sees it from a different perspective through the experience of a lifetime.
Mother’s Day is one of those hallmark occasions no one can avoid entirely. Whether it is a day you relish, or a day you loathe, there is no getting away from it. βSo here is a little poem I wrote many years ago, along with my thoughts on Mother’s Day and the fact that every day is a day to enjoy the little things in this poem.Β Β

Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world where loneliness didn’t exist. A place where every person was valued for their ability to be uniquely themselves in their own right, rather than their ability to hide their true self away for the sake of fitting in to serve the ideals and the fallacy of “normal”.
Those who know the deep pervading force of loneliness through misfittedness and the even deeper longing to “fit” will no doubt understand this poem I wrote many years ago, along with my thoughts upon reading it again.
